Prior to the establishment of Solid Principles, between April and May 2009, both John Cronin & myself cut our teeth as political podcasters producing a few episodes on the Committed to Romney website.
Surprisingly, out of the eight podcasts produced, only one was centered around Mitt Romney. Later on, one of the participants interviewed pointed out to me, “I am still puzzled as to what Romney has to do with secession?”, which did make a lot of sense.
It prompted Cronin & Edwards to establish Solid Principles, allowing us the freedom to expand upon topics without the stigma of involving, or inserting the name of a political candidate, not everyone agrees with, nor was relevant to the topic being covered.
Since that time, Solid Principles has forged it’s own identity, yet of the eight episodes we produced, both John and myself have felt, our proudest moments from this period remained the report from Notre Dame (when Notre Dame gave President Obama an Honoree Degree), and the podcast on modern secessionist movements.
For prosperity sake, these have been re-edited slightly, and placed onto the Solid Principles archive. In the twelve months since this material appeared, they offer a ‘year book like’ glimpse into our origins, and how far we have come. These archive episodes have not been added to our regular RSS/iTunes/Stitcher feed, and can only be accessed on our Podcast page.
Enjoy.
