CC,

I agree with your conclusions. The American people have spoken with regards to Obama's Medicus Maximus bill and any attempt to pass it in defiance of the people's wishes will be punished at the polls this November.

Why can't the Republican leadership see this?

John, the problem I see with Republicans say "Yes" to this proposed health care summit is that it is indeed bait in the sense that all the democrats will use this tactic for is for political gain. They will use to to say "see, we are bi-partisan, let's get this thing done now."

To me, it is an indication that they think their followers are complete idiots. This is more of a manipulation tactic than anything. And for that fact, Republicans SHOULD NOT take the bait. But then we risk getting a bag image for being so partisan. If the left did not have a sincere purpose in creating this bill (they lied about making it a bi-partisan issue) then what makes us think they are sincere now, especially when it was the MA election that forced them to go this route.

They are only doing it because they have been forced into doing it, not because they are sincere about it.
