Romney mocks Obama moving ‘forward’

Recently Frank Donatelli a Republican Party political consultant and head of GOPAC penned in politico.com titled "Putting reelection ahead of nation’s woes' an opinion piece". Donatelli points out with bewilderment that Obama's campaigning for re-election will also means 18 months of Presidential auto-pilot. I wonder if anyone broke the news to Donatelli about a Junior Senator from Illinois that started to campaign for President 25 months into their 6 year term in the Senator?

Mitt Romney’s first pooled fundraiser tonight in Virginia featured this bit of mockery of the Obama campaign’s new slogan, “Forward:”

Speaking of the Obama campaign, he got a laugh with, “Forward is his new slogan, forward what, over the cliff!”

Romney also stayed out of trouble that he got into when he was feeling looser at a fundraiser not attended by the press (but overheard by reporters), only mentioning “Obamacare” as something he would slice out of government.

Romney’s habit has tended to be less restrictive at larger fundraisers in his own presentation. Whether that changes now remains to be seen.
