Rasmussen: Obama Approval -23

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 19% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. At 19%, the number who Strongly Approve matches the lowest total yet recorded for this president. It has fallen that low only once before, on April 11 of this year. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -23. Overall, 43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) at least somewhat disapprove.

EDITORIAL: If I am mistaken, I’m rather sure Rasmuseen’s -23 marks the lowest approval given to Obama, which has never dropped below -22.  The President has been running at minus 22 for the past few days, that also matches a prior low point that first occurred in May 2010.
