That being said, it was a pleasure to listen to Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, talk sense about his country’s need for defensible borders and the need to reject the so-called “right of return” for the grandchildren and great grandchildren of the Arabs displaced by the 1948 War of Independence. In case some of our younger readers think the year 1948 is a mistake, it’s not. That’s how long this protracted struggle has been going on…63 years and counting.
