Growing Government, One Tweet at a Time

In the midst of the Great Recession, Solid Principles must tighten our belt and look for a second job.  Fortunately, we were able to locate a vacancy in new media.  The only catch is, it’s working for the other team.

President Obama’s political operation, Organizing for America, is hiring a “social networks manager” whose primary responsibilities will be maintaining the group’s Twitter, Facebook and MySpace accounts.

OFA recently posted the job notice to its website, warning applicants that they should be “ready to work hard; this isn’t a 9-5 sort of job.”

The Obama campaign won plaudits for its use of social networking in 2008. Those interested in tweeting for the president can apply here.

    Dear Mr. Edwards,

Thank you for submitting your resume to OFA. We regret that we cannot offer any hard right wingnuts a position with our organization at this time.

We will keep your resume on file and should hell freeze over or you are the last person on earth who can possibly do this job, we will be in contact with you.

    Regards,

    President Barack Obama
