Announcing a New Voice in the Citizen’s Media: Solid Principles.com

Life is all about opportunities.  The opportunity to love, to learn and to grow.  An opportunity has come our way recently.  Two conservative activists had the chance to become acquainted on another blog site and to get the chance to realize that we had complimentary talents.  One activist has the talent for producing audio segments that gave a new dimension to the blog site and the other activist has a love for the written and the spoken word.  Although a lot of work goes on behind the scenes, because we love what we are doing, the effort involved is much closer to play than it is to work.  Our intent, however, is not about play or work, but rather to change the direction of the country.

I think all conservatives agree that we have seen a stunning change in this much loved country, a change in principles and a change in direction that is alarming.  I also think we conservatives can also all agree that, if left to the tender mercies of the traditional or Mainstream Media, our concerns and our opinions about the direction of public policy will never see the light of day.

It is with these thoughts in mind that we would like to announce the creation of a new voice in the Citizen’s Media:  SOLIDPRINCIPLES.COM.

By way of introduction, my name is John Cronin and my colleague’s name is Craig Edwards.  We have founded this new site in order to provide a clearing house for conservative ideas and news  that is all too often ignored by the traditional media.  It is not our intention to be a “me too” site that simply regurgitates stories that have already been covered by other outlets, but rather to look for the under reported stories that we feel our readers are interested in following, but can’t find in the Mainstream Media.

Since we began our collaboration two months ago, we have reported from the campus of Notre Dame on the controversial Obama commencement speech, covered the growing secessionist movement, live-blogged the Tea Parties from Missouri to California with live cell phone reports from the events and interviewed several up and coming politicians on the very popular podcast that we have produced.  The show was added to iTunes within the first week of the Podcast’s launch and the reception and growth of the audio reports have been very gratifying.

We look forward to providing an additional voice to the growing conservative movement in this country and we invite you to join us as we seek to bring forward this message of patriotism, individual responsibility, personal freedom, family values, limited government, low taxes and a brighter future for all Americans.
